GOV. BUNI COMMENDS YOBE’S STEADFASTNESS IN PRAYERS 

The ummah in Yobe state have been commended for their unflinching support to the present administration through prayers counsel and active participation in governance. The state governor, Hon. Mai Mala Bunirepresented by his Deputy Hon Idi Barde Gubana made the commendation while answering questions from the press, immediately after performing the 2022 Edil Fitir prayers at the Yobe mosque and Islamic Center, Damaturu Idi ground.

The Governor called on the people not to relent in contributing to the maintenance of peace and harmony being enjoyed in the state. He appealed to the public to intensify prayers especially at this time of sallah festivities and to be vigilant always of their immediate environment. The Eid prayer was led by the chief Imam Yobe mosque, Ustas Hudu Mohammad Yusuf at exactly 8:00am.

In his sermon the Imam stressed that the benefits of brotherhood in Islam are boundless,and not just a simple relationship between a Muslim. The Imam says brotherhood is the basic of faith and the bond among Muslim which help to strengthen the faith of a believer. Ustaz Hudu Mohammad urged the congregation to continue to pray for peace and bumper harvest.

The prayer was attended by the speaker Yobe state House of assembly, the chief Judge and grand khadi, Deputy speaker, APC state chairman,  National and state assembly members, Secretary to the state government, Head of service, commissioners and head of security agencies as well as special advisers.

Other dignitaries include executive chairmen, chief executives of board and parastatals, ulamas, and members of APC family. The congregation also performed the funeral prayer of the former commissioner ministry of religious affairs, Hon. Ibrahim at the Eidil ground. Late Ibrahim Jauro died at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital Damaturu, after a brief illness.

 The state Deputy Goveror Hon. Idi Barde Gubana led government delegations to the residence of the deceased at Sabon pegi Damaturu to condole the family members.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and family the fortitude to bear the loss.

STATE CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS PURCHASE GOVERNORSHIP FORM FOR GOV. BUNI

Yobe State Critical Stakeholders has purchased and presented expression of interest and nomination form for Governor Mai Mala Buni to re contest inthe 2023 gubernatorial elections. The occasion took place at the WAWA Hall Government House, Damaturu. The Deputy Governor, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana presented the nomination form on behalf of the critical stakeholders to the APC state chairman Hon. Mohammed Gadaka for onward presentation to His Excellency Hon Mai Mala Buni.

Gubana said that the performances of the state Governor in the last three years encouragedthem to purchase the form for his second term governorship election. He Appealed to the APC supporters, groups and associations as well as general public to support the Governor, describing him as state builder, transformer and ultimate political Guru.

“…The idea is to maintain the status quo of APC as one family we stand together the Deputy said.”

The stakeholders comprise of Chairmen of the critical stakeholders, local government party chairmen, representatives of business and community leaders as well as APC supporters from the grassroots.

BUNI INAUGURATES APC COUNCIL OF ELDERS ON RECONCILIATION

The Executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has inaugurated the APC council of elders on reconciliation, at the WAWA hall of Government House Damaturu. Hon. Mai Mala Buni was represented by his Deputy Hon. Idi Barde Gubana who noted that the council is significant for the party as it would pave way for the party to strengthen internal democracy and foster mutual understanding among members of the APC.

The council of elders according to him is primarily constituted to maintain unity and put the interest of the party above interest of individuals within the party (APC.)

The membership of the APC council of elders on reconciliation consists of the following:-

(a) As much as possible reconcile dispute that may arise as a result of the envisaged primary election in to various elective offices under the APC in the state which out necessarily resorting to court action before, during and after the primary elections.

(b) Where possible advise on gear candidate(s) in line with the party headquarters desire to minimize rancour that could jeopardize the success of the party during 2023 General elections.

(c) Offer any advice the council may deem appropriate that could foster unity of purpose before and after the primary elections for greater success of the party.

YOBE STATE GOVERNMENT RECEIVES ZERO DRAFT SOCIAL PROTECTION POLICY FROM THE COUNCIL

The Executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon Mai Mala Buni hasreceived draft on Yobe state social protection policy from the social protection council.

The Governor was represented by his Deputy, Hon Idi BardeGubana. You may recall that, the state governor inaugurated state social protection council with a view to ensure the domestication and adoption of the National policy for the state and periodic review of the state policy among others.

After series of meeting, workshop, consultations and Town Hall engagement, the council has come up with a zero draft of policy that would address the critical need of the people of the state.

Receiving the report, the Deputy Governor explained that government is aware that many of our citizens are becoming impoverished and vulnerable as a result of the decade long insurgency, coupled with the global covid-19 pandemic as well as economic meltdown in the country. The Deputy Governor assured that, with the strong partnership and commitment of the organized, private sector, civil society organization, international development partners as well as all the relevant stakeholders…..

“…we will collectively strive the ambitious objectives and targets we have set out for ourselves in this policy”…

He commended the committee members for their effort in addressing the state’s socio-economic challenges.

Presenting the draft, the Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Home Affairs, Information and Culture Hon. Mohammed Lamin, commended the Governor for setting up the state social protection council and the technical working group to carry out this noble task of formulating the Yobe State Social Protection Policy.

Mohammed Lamin urged all partners and stakeholders to equally contribute in the implementation of the policy for the attainment of maximum result.

PILGRIMS COMMISSION HAS COMMENCES2022 HAJJ ENLIGHTENMENT EXERCISE

Declaring the exercise open today in Damaturu the Yobe State Capital, the chairmanwho was represented by the secretary of the Commission, Alhaji Yusuf Hassan Yusif charged intending Pilgrims to be attentive.

He also requested them to complete their HAJJ deposit to 2, 565, 265, 84 before 10 May 2022. 

He further advised all intending pilgrims to ensure that, they were given full dose of the Covid19 vaccines which will enable them perform Hajj.

Yusif Hassan Yusuf caution the State Pilgrims to adhere to all Covid19 protocols at all points of the 2022 Hajj activities.

YOBE COMMEND FAO EFFORT TOWARDS FOOD SECURITY

The Executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon Mai Mala Buni has commended the food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for making Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries more productive and sustainable in Yobe state.

 The Governor, represented by his Deputy Hon. Idi Barde Gubana made the commendation while he receiving the country representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization FAO of the United Nations, Mr. Fred Kafeero at the Deputy Governor conference room Government House, Damaturu.

He pledged to support the organization to eliminate hunger across the State.

 Governor Buni encouraged them to maintain intervention aimed at food security and addressing malnutrition as well as sustainable management and utilization of rural resources including water, land and employ natural and biological control for pest and diseases.

Earlier, the country representative, Mr. Fred Kafeero, informed the Governor that, the Organization is a specialized agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to defeat hunger and improve nutrition and food security.

Mr.Fred said they were in Yobe on a familiarization visit to assess the level and quality of their projects.

He said FAO will soon introduce new programmes that would end hunger, provide food security and sustainability.

YOBE GOVERNMENT TO CONSTRUCT DRAINAGES IN NEW LAYOUT OF THE STATE

Governor Mai Mala Buni hasassuredto construct drainages in new layout of the state

He gave the assurance when he paid a sympathy visit to victims of rainstorms that destroyed houses and claimed lives in the state capital.

Governor Buni also inspected some public buildings destroyed by the storm, assuring that government would rehabilitate the affected schools and other public structures

He urged the people to heed to weather focus issued by relevant agencies such as NIMET, saying the government would provide necessary assistance to the victims of the storm. The Governor was also at the houses of those who died in the storm to condole with their families.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and donated some money to their families.

Governor Buni also paid a visit to the victims of the storm admitted at the Specialist Hospital Damaturu to commensurate with them.

YODMA PARTNERS LIFE BANK LOGISTICS ON DRUGS DISTRIBUTION IN YOBE

Determined to ensure effective distribution of drugs and medical consumables across the state, the Yobe State Drugs and Medical Consumables Management Agency (YODMA), has entered a partnership with a private organization, Life Bank Logistics Company. During the occasion for the signing of the partnership held on Wednesday, the 11th of May 2022, Dr. Muhammad Lawan Gana, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services disclosed that Yobe had been a state with hard-to-reach locations

“…So there is a need to ensure that strategic decisions and interventions are put forth to ensure that drugs reach those very hard to reach locations”.

Secondly, the agency is also mandated to operate like the private sector, which means to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of resource management…” Dr. Lawan Gana said.

The Commissioner added that the scope of the partnership was wide and meant to ensure the perfection of the distribution system across the state.

“…The Company is not only to ensure that drugs and consumables reach the last mile but they are also supposed to build the capacity of those who are working in the agency”.

“As well as to deploy technology, data management system and general management and distribution logistics,” he explained.

On his part, Pharmacist Abdul-Aziz Garba Mohammed, the Executive Secretary of YODMA said that the agency was established in 2019 and started operation in 2020 with the mandate of providing drug reagents and medical consumables to all public facilities in the state.

“To do this end, we need to have a very strong and reliable solution”.

“This is why we thought of partnering with Life Bank Logistics Company, which is one of the leading organizations in Nigeria, in terms of last-mile delivery,” he said. In his remarks, Mr. Yunusa Na’allah, Public Sector Lead, Like Blank Logistics, said the aim of the partnership is to make medical consumable drugs available to the last mile.

    He described the incident as unfortunate and prayed to Allah (SWA) for their quick recovery, while directing free treatment to all victims and gave a cash donation to each of the victims on sick beds.

“These drugs have to be taken to where they are needed, as when they are needed and in the right condition.”

GOV BUNI PLEDGES CONTINUES SUPPORT TO FRSC IN YOBE

The Executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon Mai Mala Buni has assured the new Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) sector commander of his administration’s continued support the organization.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy His Excellency Hon Idi Barde Gubana gave the assurance on Wednesday when he receivedthe new sector commander Mohammad Kaigama Kabo on a courtesy call at the government House accompanied by the outgoing sector commander Mr.Yelwa D. Dio who was transferred to Adamawa state after serving in Yobe for over 2 years.

He emphasized the FRSC will always get the state government support and cooperation while applauding  the 2 years of Mr. Yelwa as sector commander in Yobe state, adding that Yobe recorded significant drop in road crashed during his service in the state.

The outgoing sector commander, Mr. Yelwa D Dio expressed gratitude to Governor Mai Mala Buni for all the support he received. On his part the new sector commander Mohammad Kaigama Kabo who is an indigene of Yobe, assured to do his best in preventing and minimizing road accidents and adherence to road traffic rules and regulations for public safety.

FAYEMI VISITS YOBE AHEAD OF 2023 ELECTIONS

The Executive Governor of Ekiti state and Chairman Nigerian Governors Forum as well as APC presidential aspirantHon   (Dr.)John Kayoed Fayemi has visited Yobe APC delegates ahead of 2023 elections.

While in the state the presidential aspirant paid courtesy call on state Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni to intimate him on his ambition and seek for the support and prayers of APC members and good people of Yobe state to realize his ambition.

Responding the State Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni, represented by his Deputy Hon. Idi BardeGubana appreciated the visit and wish him well in his consultations ahead of party forthcoming primary elections.

According to him asa former Minister, Governorand Chairman of all Governors in Nigeria, he has the experience to understand the Nigerian challenges.

He noted that Nigeria witnessed significant development underPresident Mohammad Buhari hoping Dr. Kayode will continue with the good policies and programmes of Baba Buhari if elected.

The presidential aspirant meet with the state delegates and appealed to be voted for during  the parties primaries, he assuring that they will  not have any cause to regret choosing Dr. Kayode as a candidate of the party to be the next president.

 Earlier on, the National convener of Kayode presidential aspirant, Dr Garba Abari, said his meeting with the delegates is to seek for their support, prayers, trust and confidence to realize his ambition.

 Speaking, the former APC Deputy national Chairman, Sen. Lawan Shuaibu Said that Yobe is a strong home of APC, expressed confidence that Kayode will emerged as candidate. YOBE STATE CIVIL SERVANT TAKEPROMOTIONAL EXAMINATION.

The Ag. Head of Service Alh Garba Bilal said, no fewer than 3,400 civil servants in Yobe sat for promotion examination in the state. He disclosed this while inspecting one of the examination centers in Damaturu, the state capital.

Alh. Garba Bilal said the examination took place simultaneously in three designated centres across the state.

“There are 1,962 candidates in Damaturu, the state capital, 1007 in Potiskum and 431 in Gashua Local Government Areas. The Ag.  Head of Service also said that the civil service in the state would be revived under his watch.

“As i said when i assumed office, we are trying everything humanly possible to revive the civil service in the state.

“First is to ensure that there are trainings and retraining of civil servants.Once you train them, they will be able to give their best.”

He added that the training would cut across all cadres of the civil service.

The training would be carried out in phases. The senior officers would be trained and same will scale down to junior officers. “So before you know it, all the civil servants will be abreast of the latest development in the civil service. “We are going to create a good succession plan in the system.If someone exited from the service, there would be another person to replace him effectively. We do not want to create a vacuum, where someone will leave and there will be no other person to take his responsibilities,” he said.

The Ag. Head of Service commended Gov. Mai Mala Buni for creating enabling environment for the civil servants to operate effectively.

The commendation was made by the Ag. Head of Service during his inspection visit to Damaturu, center of the examination.

BUNI COMMENDS STATE EDUCATION TRUST FUND

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has commended the State Education Trust Fund for their immeasurable effort on revitalization of basic and secondary education.

The Governor represented by his Deputy Hon Idi BardeGubana, made the commendation when he received in audience of the members State Education Trust Fund led by its Chairman, Engr. Mohammad Abubakar at Government House, Damaturu.

He appreciated their tireless efforts, adding that education helps people to become better citizens.

….“human being is not attaining his full height until he is educated, if we educate our brothers and sisters God will help us in return…”

  He urged the implementing partners to support the committee and to ensure the successful implementation on the overall development of the state. The Chairman of the Education Trust Fund, Engr Mohammad Abubakar informed the Governor that, the committee held it’s   meeting with the technical working committee at Damaturu to review their strategic plan.

Engr M. Abubakar assured to give the best contribution to Government efforts in developing education in the state.

HEADS OF EDUCATION AGENCIES MEET YOBE EDUCATION TRUST FUND COMMITTEE

The Yobe state Ministry of Basic Education and all heads of Education Agencies held a meeting with the State Education trust fund. The meeting that took place on 17th May, 2022, and chaired by Hon. Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Muhammad Sani Idriss at SSG’s conference Hall, Governor’s office, Damaturu.

The committee led by its chairman, Engr. M.A.K Abukakar, OFR, MFR, FNSE, mni, with his members, Prof. Maimuna Waziri, Dr. Abukakar Garba Illiya, Prof. Mamman Yusufari (SAN) and Alh. Mohammed Bukar who is the committee’s secretary. On the side of the state government, the Vc of Yobe State University, Prof. Mala Daura, the executive chairman of SUBEB, Prof. Musa Alabe, the ES of Science and technical board Dr. Atiyaye, the Permanent Secretariat of the Ministry, among others were all present.

COMMISSIONER BASIC AND SECONDARY EDUCATION MEETS PRINCIPALS OF ALL SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN YOBE

The commissioner Yobe state Ministry of Basic And Secondary Education Dr. Mohammed Sani Idriss held a meeting with all principals of secondary schools across the state, charging them on performance of students in 2022 waec/necossce examinations

The Commissioner commended the Principals for their commitments during the Extension programs saying Governor Mai Mala Bunis administration is ensuring all programs to improve the quality of education in the state.

The meeting was attended by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alh. Hamidu M Alhaji Chairman TSB Baba Ali Maidala ES Science and Technical Board Dr. Dauda Atiyaye and Directors of the Ministry.

The commissioner finally charges the Principals to emphasis on extra-lessons, group discussion among students and security of students ahead of the examinations so as to ensure Yobe students perform better than the performances of Yobe last year’s candidates.

GOVERNOR BUNI INAUGURATE STATE SIDE BOARD COMMITTEE ON INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State Hon. Mai Mala Buni has on Thursday 19th May, 2022 inaugurated members of State Side Board Committee on Infrastructure Development.

Represented by Secretary to the State Government Baba Malam Walimni ,Governor Buni said that effective Infrastructural management has become critical now more than ever, not only in Yobe State but across the globe due to limited resources, growing urban and rural population, climate related disruption and emergencies such as health, fire and natural disaster among others. He said in order to ensure effective and efficient Infrastructural development in the state, his administration has approved the

constitution of the Committee to coordinate State Infrastructural services and development.

Governor Buni urged the Committee members to ensure all sectors with physical and Infrastructural developments work in synergy to reduce unnecessary overlap in implementation. The Committee has Director General, Yobe State Information Geographic Service as Chairman and Ibrahim Mohammed Daya of ACRESAL as Secretary.

YOBE VARSITY GETS ACCREDITATION STATUS FOR LAW, 4 OTHER PROGRAMMES

Yobe State University has received full accreditation status for the five programme accredited during the October/November 2021 accreditation of Academic programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The five programme accredited are, English Language, Law, Biology, Computer Science and Statistics

This was contained in a press statement signed by Uwani Z Mamuda, Deputy Registrar of Information of the University.

According to Mamuda, “By this development, Yobe State University has all its forty-one (41) undergraduate programmes fully accredited.

The result for the accreditation is contained in a letter signed by the Director of Accreditation, National Universities Commission, Dr. Maryam Sali. NUC has the statutory mandate to accredit academic programmes in all Nigerian universities.“The letter stated that in consonance with the provisions of the current Government approved guidelines, initial accreditation of new programmes is held after running theprogrammes for two academic sessions following the approval for their establishment. Approval of new programmes and their accreditation were based on the criteria laid down by the NUC”.

Speaking to a team from the Information Unit of the University shortly after receiving the result from the NUC, the Vice-Chancellor Yobe State University, Professor Mala M. Daura, expressed his gratitude for the achievement recorded by the University in respect of the accreditation exercise.

He used the forum to thank the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon Mai Mala Buni for the huge infrastructural and necessary support given to see the success of the exercise as well as thanked NUC for the assessment and grant of full accreditation for the programmes.

YOBE RECEIVES ENCODER FOR YTV TO GO SATELLITE

Yobe state government has received encoder from RCS Ghana to go on satellite.

Receiving the equipment from the company, the commissioner Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Hon. MOHAMMED Lamin commended RCS for their partnership with yobe.

He said such development contributes to bridging the gap between government and the Govern as well as boost the efforts of the state government in disseminating information down to the grassroots. .”…this is line with Governor Buni’s development plans especially in ensuring digitalization of the media in Yobe for the benefit of all and for the development of the state in general. This will also break themonopoly that currently exists in the satellite world. “

Lamin urged them to put heads together with the state media houses and the online media to better the local content programs for the benefit of the people.

Introducing the company to the commissioner, the general manager, Yobe state Television YTV, Alh Yusuf Alh Isa said RCS is in the state to install the encoder at the station, to enable reception on the satellite and a broader network for information dissemination.

Handing over the equipment to the commissioner, the Technical Manager of the company based in Ghana, Razak Musah assured that the equipment is qualitative and its usage, cost effective.

TINUBU VISITS YOBE, PRAISES ITS INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT

As part of efforts to seek All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates’ votes ahead of the 2023 general elections, the APC presidential aspirants, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubuhas visited Yobe State delegates in Damaturu amidst teeming supporters. The presidential aspirant met with the delegates at the Banquet Hall Government House, Damaturu to seek their votes ahead of the APC presidential primaries.

    He promised to unite Nigeria as one entity under peaceful coexistence between the six geo-political regions.

    Speaking on natural resources in Yobe, he said,

“You need a President like me who can see value in your land, who can see commodity exchange, who can beat the oil prices, and who will grow Nigeria out of poverty”.

       “We must utilize our potential as a country to train and employ our youths, deploy modern technology, lower consumer prices, feed our growing population, and export finished products. We must also establish commodity exchange boards and consider credit reforms to better support our agricultural value chain.”

Alhaji Bola Tinubu commended Yobe State Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni for his contributions toward the nation-building as well as infrastructural development of the state.

Tinubu thanked the people and government of Yobe State for the warm reception accorded to him and his campaign organization during the visit.

Introducing the aspirant to the delegates, the state coordinator Tinubu for president campaign organization, Hon Ibrahim Abdullahi described him as the father of APC and thanked the state governor and the people of the state for their support

VICE PRESIDENT OSINBAJO ENGAGES YOBE APC DELEGATES O DEVELOPMENT ISSUES

The vice president professor YemiOsinbajo who is also an APC presidential aspirant has met with the Yobe state delegates to seek their mandates in the fourth coming APC Presidential primaries.

Answering questions from the newsmen after the meeting at the Banquet Hall of the Government House Damaturu, the vice president said he engage the delegates of the party in discussing what they would like to see, what sort of Country do they want, to know the issues that concern them and we talked around the wide variety of issues from the economy, security, healthcare, education. Among others.

“I think all of us are leaving satisfied with a great deal of zest that our Country is set for better. The discussion was very engaging and rewarding time.

   Professor Osinbajo said he has worked with President Buhari for good seven years, he has the experience to continue with the laudable policies and programs of President Buhari’s government to move the country forward.

    The vice president also paid a courtesy visit to the emir of Damaturu to seek his royal blessings.

ROTIMI ON VOTE SEEKING VISIT TO YOBE

The immediate past minister of Transport and APC Presidential aspirant, Rt Hon. RotimiChibuikeAmaechi was in Damaturu the Yobe State capital to seek the state delegates’ votes ahead of the 2023 general elections.

    The Presidential aspirant meets with the delegates and party elders at the Banquet hall Government House Damaturu.

   He said, if elected as the President of Nigeria, he would tackle all the security issues in the country, as he did with the Niger Delta militants when he was a governor in Rivers state.

    On infrastructural development, Mr. Amaechi added that the Port Harcourt- Maiduguri rail project that would link Damaturu and Gashua and other railways across the country would be completed soon, to ease the movement of goods and services at a cheaper rate.

    He assured to continue with the policies and laudable programs of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government in tackling poverty, hunger, and youth employment among others in addition to giving more priority to education and health.

    The former Transport minister called on the Yobe delegates for their support and understanding to move the country forward.

    He further commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for reorganizing the party at the national level when he was the acting chairman of the APC.

APC RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE SUBMITS REPORT TO GOVERNMENT

The Executive governor of Yobe State, Hon.Mai Mala Bunihas received APC Committee reconciliation report Represented by His Deputy, Hon. Idi BardeGubana, the Governor commended the committee chairman Hon Hassan K El-Badawymni, and other distinguished members of the committee for a job well done.

According to him, the submission of the report is coming at a crucial time.

…”as we’re approaching primary elections/ consensus, therefore the report would contribute in no small measure to a successful primary elections/ consensus and general elections.

He assured to carefully study the report and implement the same to improve the unity and strength of the party.

Buni expressed gratitude to the committee for handling the assignment given to them despite their tight schedules

Submitting the report, the chairman of the committee, Hon Hassan K El-Badawy mni said as part of their terms of reference, the committee was saddled with the responsibility where possible to advise on consensus candidate in line with the party headquarters desire to minimize rancor that could jeopardize the success of the party during the 2023 general elections.

“We have done our best and leave the rest to God” the chairman Said.

YOBE APC GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARIES RETURS GOV BUNI UNOPPOSED

Yobe state Governor, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni has won the APC gubernatorial primary election unopposed

    All the delegates across the seventeen local governments have reaffirmed the Governor as the sole APC governorship candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.     Speaking after the election which took place at the Event center, Government House Damaturu, Governor Mai Mala Buni promised to continue with the developmental projects that would touch the lives of the people in the state.

    He expresses appreciation to the delegates for seeing him worthy of the job and assured to justify the confidence reposed in him.

The Governor said,

…”the unity and collective sense of belonging and direction, has made Yobe state a role model of progressive democracy in Nigeria..”

     Earlier declaring the election results, the delegate from the National Headquarters of the APC, Alhaji Lawan Kareto said a total of 890 delegates were accredited, 825 votes cast, 20 invalid and Governor Buni was returned as the APC governorship candidate with 805 valid votes.

Alhaji Kareto commended the Yobe delegates for unanimously reaffirming Governor Mai Mala Buni as the APC candidate at the 2023 general elections.

In his welcome address, the state party chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka said the good leadership style of governor Buni has made him the one and only candidate in the 2023 general elections.

The chairman commended the efforts of the delegates for their loyalty, maturity, and understanding during and after the election.
