Tinubu Administration Strategizes to Make Nigeria Great — First Lady Remi Tinubu

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reiterated the unwavering commitment of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu–led Federal Government to reposition Nigeria for greatness and ensure the nation takes its rightful place in the comity of nations.

She made this known in Kaduna during the launch of a food distribution exercise organized for members of the Christian Northern Nigeria Political Forum. The initiative was spearheaded by the Office of the First Lady in collaboration with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Affairs and Other Matters, with the support of key stakeholders.

According to the First Lady, nation-building is a collective responsibility, stressing that every Nigerian has a vital role to play in promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development for economic prosperity. She particularly highlighted the influence of musicians, film actors, and other celebrities, noting their capacity to promote peaceful coexistence and inspire patriotism among Nigerians.

“My office is ready to collaborate with musicians and film actors to entrench peace, patriotism, and contribute meaningfully to building the economy,” Senator Tinubu stated.

She commended Alhaji Kabiru Masari for sustaining initiatives that support vulnerable persons, describing his efforts as a clear reflection of inclusion, compassion, and a deep understanding of the needs of ordinary Nigerians. In further demonstration of this commitment, the First Lady provided financial support of ₦100 million to beneficiaries, while the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Affairs distributed 48,000 bags of 25kg rice.

The event attracted prominent national leaders, including His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, who attended alongside other Northern governors and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the occasion, the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, described the gesture as a powerful show of love that reinforces a sense of belonging, particularly for vulnerable Nigerians. He also commended the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for promoting peace and harmonious coexistence in the state.

Governor Uba Sani, in his remarks, noted that the distribution of food items during the Christmas season was timely and uplifting, especially for the poor and vulnerable. He praised the SSA on Political Affairs and Other Matters, Alhaji Kabiru Masari, for his commitment to uplifting others and restoring hope for a more prosperous future.

“The show of love and support at this moment exemplifies the true virtue of compassion, service to humanity, and collective responsibility to uplift the weak and vulnerable,” Governor Sani said.

The presence and participation of Governor Mai Mala Buni at the event further underscored Yobe State’s commitment to national unity, inclusive governance, and initiatives that promote peace, compassion, and shared prosperity across Nigeria.
